Our course is conducted through videoconferencing, allowing you to attend classes taught by faculty based in Canada. This course is open to both Canadian and non-Canadian physicians. The modules are distributed in advance, allowing you to pre-read the materials. During the course, the faculty will provide essential teachings, engage in discussions, and conduct workshop sessions on real-life medical cases, all from the comfort of your hometown.
To obtain an active Canadian license, certain requirements must be met:
1. Achieving a passing score on the Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE) Part 1, along with passing the clinical assessment administered through the National Assessment Collaboration (NAC) exam.
2. If you have passed the MCCQE Part I and meet the other criteria, you can apply for the LMCC (Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada) through your physiciansapply.ca account. Please note that an application fee will apply. The LMCC is one of the requirements for obtaining a license to practice medicine in Canada.
For more information on the route to licensure in Canada, please visit: https://mcc.ca/about/route-to-licensure/.
It is important to keep in mind that you must be a landed immigrant to proceed with LMCC Part 2.
Furthermore, once you have completed both parts of the course, you will need to possess a valid active Canadian Medical License in order to apply for CCBOM (Canadian Board of Occupational Medicine).
